I have 13 month old twins (and a 3 year old) and we have the same problem in Canada with being paid EI for the pregnancy and not the number of babies produced during that pregnancy. It's too bad the governments can't be fair with this. Had you and I had 3 separate pregnancies, we would have been paid for each pregnancy/mat leave. Instead, nature took its course and I wound up with 3 babies, but only 2 pregnancies. What is unfair is we continue to pay into our employment insurance plans equal amounts, if not more than others, but do not benefit the same way as other mothers with singleton pregnancies. We have no choice but to pay double the costs when having twins and twins also often come with complications and extra money out of pocket. Government understanding would be great!Twintrospectiveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04447741845948876752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3261159945433662174.post-46237302348277335912011-06-11T12:55:04.630-07:002011-06-11T12:55:04.630-07:00£5 - wow! It's £1 in our house (my hubbies choice as I would have given them 50p!)and it goes straight in the money boxes for spending money on all our trips away!scoutstrialbloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00734426925146437568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3261159945433662174.post-5297190719186540092011-06-11T05:25:52.958-07:002011-06-11T05:25:52.958-07:00LOL at the toothy grins!
